RADIO BROADCASTING AND COMMUNICATION CHALLENGES DURING PHONE-IN PROGRAMMES
ABSTRACT
Phone-in programmes serve as a means of getting feedback from media audiences. The study examines the various challenges faced by radio stations in Nigeria when receiving feedback from their listerners via phone calls.
Both primary and secondary data was used for the study. the researcher issued out questionnaires to staff and audience of Alantic Fm Uyo. This medium formed the basis for gattering information for the study, while text books, journals and the internet formed the secondary source of data for the study. Findings from the study revealed that poor network was the major challenge faced by radio stations. issues of listerners staying close to their radio sets while communicating on a live radio programm was also identified as a major challenge.
